Serving the Peace Liard Region since 1974
From our Board of Directors, to our Management Team and front line staff we pride ourselves on offering a variety of services to families and individuals in the Peace Liard Region to best support all members of the community to reach the fullest extent of their potential. We aim to work from a Client-Centered, Trauma Informed place of acceptance and compassion where all members of society are worthwhile and highly valued regardless of their behavior, personality, age, race, cultural background, gender or sexual orientation, developmental stage, competence or any other characteristic. As an organization we are committed to working with the community to identify gaps and direct future service development.
Established in 1974, South Peace Community Resources Society is a non-profit, multi-service, community-based, social service agency. Our team of 100+ staff and volunteers provide services at 13 locations in Dawson Creek, Chetwynd, Tumbler Ridge and Fort St. John.
At SPCRS we believe that all people are valued and deserve opportunities to develop to the fullest extent of their potential. Each year thousands of people walk through our doors looking for help in one of our 26 programs. We assist people of all ages, abilities and cultural backgrounds through a range of services that are personalized and responsive to individual needs.
South Peace Community Resources Society (SPCRS) has been proudly serving residents of the Peace Liard Region for over 48 years. Our agency was first established in 1974, offering a small number of services for children and youth in Dawson Creek. Through the hard work and dedication of staff and community stakeholders, SPCRS now operates 26 programs in various communities throughout the region.
Our employees work with compassion and dedication to improve the lives of families, children and youth, adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, victims of crime, seniors, and individuals of all ages struggling with the challenges of life. Throughout the growth and change we have experienced, both as an organization and with our community, we remain firmly committed to building healthy, happy communities by connecting people to needed resources.
