Emotional Support Dog On Site!

New to our Dawson Creek McPhail Hutchison building, we would like you to meet Willow!

Willow is in training to be our emotional support dog.

What is an emotional support dog?

Emotional support dogs play a crucial role in enhancing the mental well-being of individuals who face emotional or psychological challenges. These specially trained animals provide comfort, companionship, and a sense of security, which can significantly alleviate symptoms of anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions. Their presence helps reduce stress levels, promotes a sense of calm, and can improve overall emotional stability. By offering unconditional love and support, emotional support dogs contribute to a better quality of life, enabling individuals to navigate daily challenges more effectively and fostering a deeper sense of connection and emotional resilience.

We understand that not everyone is okay with dogs, or animals for that matter. If you have any concerns about Willow while you are visiting our McPhail Hutchison office, please let our Receptionist, or your counsellor know, and we will make arrangements to have Willow kept in her office.
